An amazing woman followed the path that led her to the light and a beautiful Garden where the love of her life, Walter G. Barton had been waiting for 25 years to see her beautiful face once again. She was born to the late Charles J. and Hilda (Peterson) Faulk on October 10, 1920 in Richland Township in the same house and on the same day as her cousin, Lewis Richard Oyler. Mary was a 1938 graduate of Converse High School where she was treasurer of her senior class. She was a member of First Christian Church, Marion and former member of Women of the Moose.

She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and was a friend to all she met. She will be remembered for her sense of humor, good cooking and her gentle loving way. She enjoyed life to the fullest and her smile and laugh will always be in our hearts.

She married the love of her life, Walter G. Barton, on April 6, 1946 and enjoyed 42 years of marriage until he passed, at age 83, on December 9, 1988. They had two children, Glen Thomas Barton, Rock Hill, South Carolina and Mrs. Cathy (Losure) (Dan) Smith, Marion, Indiana. She had four grandchildren, Christine (Losure) (Andy) White, Indianapolis, IN; Matthew Preston Losure, Marion, IN; Sean Thomas Barton, Rock Hill, SC and Mrs. Amber (Bryan) Harris, Rock Hill, SC and two step-grandchildren. She had six great-grandchildren, Kate and Abby White, Indianapolis, IN; Ethan and Aiden Barton, Anderson, SC and Hailey and Connor Harris, Rock Hill, SC and 5 step great-grandchildren.

Five surviving sisters, Marie Hannah and Sandy Peterson, both of Fairmount, IN; Darline Rish, Joan Lee, both of Van Buren, IN and Joyce Cook, Zanesville, IN.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Walter G. Barton; son-in-law, William J. Losure; brothers, Charles Faulk, Clifford Faulk and Ken Robert Faulk; sisters, Louise Cook, Ruth Smith and Barbara Rose Faulk; brothers-in-law, Clayton Cook, Harvey Lee, Harvey Hannah, Donald Rish, Larry Cowgill, and Robert Cook; sister-in-law, Virginia Faulk.

Funeral Service will be at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, Indiana with Rev. Dr. Tom Mansbarger officiating. Burial will be in Estates of Serenity, Marion.

Visitation will be Tuesday, May 14, 2013 from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
