Travis Simpkins Memorial Fund

Fund Purpose:
To provide AED devices to public locations in Grant County, Indiana.

Fund Story:
On July 13, 2013, we lost Travis to a sudden and unexpected heart attack at the young age of 34.  In an effort to bring something positive from such a huge loss, this memorial fund was established to raise the funds needed to provide AED machines in public places throughout Grant County.

Sudden cardiac arrest is one of the leading causes of death in the U.S. Over 350,000 people will suffer from sudden cardiac arrest this year. It can happen to anyone, anytime, anywhere and at any age. An AED is the only effective treatment for restoring a regular heart rhythm during sudden cardiac arrest and is an easy to operate tool for someone with no medical background.  This fund will award grants to fulfill its purpose, year after year…forever providing AED devices to public locations in Grant County.

We invite family and friends of Travis to honor him by supporting this fund.

Thank you,
Buck and Deana
