Fund Purpose:
The purpose of this fund is to benefit Marion-Grant County Senior Center.

Fund Story:
When Helen P. Poindexter DeVoe’s husband, Paul Volney DeVoe, died Dec. 17, 1993, Helen DeVoe set up this fund in his honor. This fund granted the Marion General Hospital, where Paul DeVoe had served on the board of directors, Lifeline Medical Alert necklaces or wristbands for all its residents.

However, the program was recently discontinued due to the better technology available in preference over the Lifeline equipment. Upon the discontinuance, Mrs. DeVoe chose to align the fund purpose with a similar need in our community, the Senior Center.

Fund Impact:
Marion General Hospital
MGH Lifeline Program
Marion-Grant County Senior Center
