Fund Purpose: To support the Grant County Emergency Management Agency in supplying personal protective equipment and needed materials in combating COVID-19 in Grant County, Indiana.
The Grant County Emergency Management Agency directs, organizes, and coordinates response efforts on behalf of the County Commissioners during a major disaster. Our County officials have been working hand in hand with the Grant County Health Department, as well as representatives from local Law Enforcement, Fire, EMS, Industry, as well as many other key players in planning a proactive response to the COVID-19 outbreak to ensure our county is best prepared to protect the public.
Along with the rest of the Country, Grant County too is experiencing a shortage in Personal Protective Equipment. One of our best lines of defense is to be sure we are doing our best to protect the people that are protecting us. Grant County Emergency Management Agency, along with the Grant County Health Department have been exhausting all resources to ensure our frontline is adequately protected.
Our main goal has always been to be as proactive as possible throughout this pandemic. The community as a whole seems to be greatly benefiting from Social Distancing, and a “Stay Home, Stay Safe” frame of mind. “If a house doesn’t catch fire, I don’t have to go in and get you. If you don’t get sick and we don’t have to treat you…that takes a big burden off of our healthcare workers that are already being pushed pretty hard and that’s not going to let up anytime soon. So if we can maintain those efforts that’s a big deal.” Grant County Emergency Management Director Bob Jackson.
“I’m praying for you as a part of the Grant County Team and that we see a complete victory over this virus that has challenged the world.”
“Be Steady – Be Strong – Be Safe!” Grant County Commissioner Mark Bardsley
