Why should I give to charity? Well, to benefit you and others! Did you know that your donation to a charitable organization like the Community Foundation is most likely tax-deductible? For example, if you are in the 33% tax bracket, your $100 donation could provide you $33 in tax savings. (Of course, you should talk to your personal tax person for tax advice.) So, help yourself to a little tax savings and help the community, too! It’s a win-win! And I know I’ve mentioned it once or twice before, but if you donate to the Community Impact Fund right now, your donation will be doubled. DOUBLED. You donate $100, and the GIFT VI grant puts another $100 in the fund. You donate $50,000, and the GIFT VI grant puts another $50,000 in the fund. Bada-bing, bada-boom!
