Now you have an opportunity to tell the story of the impact your project or program will have while recognizing the generosity of those who helped make it possible. The information below gives you some suggestions on how to spread the great news about your project or program to your donors and our community. Please share with the appropriate contact in your organization.
Press Releases
Please refer to the language in this sample press release for guidance. Contact local news organizations to share the story of your program or project and recognize the funders that are making it possible. We would also be happy to provide a quote for your press release. Remember, the strongest stories are often centered on the people being served and the impact being created, rather than the grant itself. Please Note: All press releases must be approved by the Community Foundation Team before released to the media. Please email your final copy to Grants@GiveToGrant.org for approval.

Acknowledging the Community Foundation
Here is some brief sample language to acknowledge your Community Foundation grant:
This program was funded (or funded in part) by a grant from the Community Foundation of Grant County.
The Community Foundation of Grant County has deep roots in our community. They were established in 1984 as an organization that could pool its resources for the benefit of improving the local quality of life. They serve as a means through which those of us who live or earn a livelihood in Grant County could build, over time, substantial endowment funds for Grant County through contributions large and small.
Donor Thank You Notes
Behind every grant is a donor, family, business, or neighbor that chose to invest in the future of Grant County. While a press release helps share the news publicly, a personal thank you can help donors better understand the impact of their generosity.
We encourage you to send a brief thank-you note, photo, project update, or impact story that illustrates how the grant is making a difference. These personal touches help donors connect with the work they are supporting and often become some of the most meaningful communications they receive. We’re happy to pass these messages along to our donors on your behalf.
The most effective messages are often simple and authentic:
– Who is being served?
– What challenge is being addressed?
– What will be possible because of this funding?
– How will the community be stronger as a result?
Whenever possible, include photos, participant stories, quotes, or project milestones. The Community Foundation may also share these stories with donors and fund representatives as part of our ongoing stewardship efforts.
Remember, donors rarely give to fund projects. They give to make a difference in people’s lives. Help them see the impact they helped create.

Using the Community Foundation Logo
If you have the opportunity to include the Community Foundation logo on your website or in communications about your grant, please download and use one of the approved logo formats below.
As outlined in your grant agreement, we ask that the Community Foundation logo be included on publicity materials related to the funded project whenever appropriate, including websites, event invitations, posters, brochures, presentations, and other promotional materials.
Please do not stretch, recolor, modify, or separate elements of the logo. The logo should only be used in connection with the funded project and accompanied by appropriate acknowledgment of Community Foundation support.
